Main Exclusions

  • A fraudulent, dishonest, illegal or criminal act or attempt of the insured or any of its directors or officers
  • Prior events which occurred before the policy period
  • Property surrendered on and off premises, unless if surrendered by the person who is conveying the ransom

Duration of the policy

Unless otherwise specified in the policy conditions, the duration of the insurance policy is in principle one year and renews tacitly, with the possibility to cancel in accordance with the applicable laws.

The insurance can also be concluded for shorter terms (minimum of 1 day).

AIG retains the only response team of its kind that will deploy up to four consultants upon notification of an incident: two each to company headquarters and the incident location, providing AIG clients with maximum levels of support during the critical early stages of a crisis.
